Hello! 👋🏻 I'm Morgan, an Oregon-based science communicator with a background in journalism and strategic communications. By day I lead brand marketing for an energy software company.
When I'm not writing or building communications programs, you'll find me outside hiking, biking, and birdwatching. I also love to knit (garments, mostly) and I'm always in the middle of a good book.
My current hyper-fixation? Still trees. I completed OKC Beautiful's Community Forester program in February and arrived in the Pacific Northwest ready to meet my new neighbors: Douglas firs, Sitka spruces, bigleaf maples. I'm still reading, still learning, still looking up.
Interested in working together on a nature newsletter or science communication project? Use my contact page and I'll be in touch!

Where I volunteer:
Oklahoma Foundation for the Disabled | September 2023 - present | As a member of the OKFD board of directors and as the marketing and fundraising chair, I assist with fundraising, content strategy, and awareness efforts as part of the board’s strategic direction. I was placed on the OKFD board after graduating from the United Way of Central Oklahoma’s Board Serve program, in which I spent seven months learning the ins and outs of serving on a non-profit board. Highly recommend.
